I am extremely excited about this years Senior Portrait Season. In addition to the normal Senior Season I have partnered with Brunswick High Schools Class of 2011′s Safe and Sane. This year 35% of all sales resulting from this promotion will be donated to the BHS Class of 2011′s Safe and Sane.

Not only is this a great cause but it will enable each BHS Senior to obtain quality Senior Portraits at reasonable price. If you are not a Senior at Brunswick High School don’t worry if you book your senior session in August or September you will receive the same special pricing.

Today I had the pleasure of starting the 2011 season with Hannah (a Brunswick High School Senior). Bellow are a few images shot this morning.

TEEN IDENTITY PHOTOGRAPHERS PLEDGE

As a Teen Identity network photographer/filmmaker, I agree to uphold and promote these ideals:

1. I will provide a photo/video session experience with teen girl clients designed to elevate their self esteem, make them feel beautiful and empowered.
2. Any photos and videos I (or my studio) create portraying teen girls will be done without over-sexualizing the subject. Photos and videos will be created tastefully, preserving the “innocence” of youth, yet at the same time striving to reveal the true personalities of our subjects.
3. Each year I (or my studio) will donate whatever time I can afford towards a Teen Identity approved organization or project designed to raise self-esteem in teen girls, empower teen girls, or address some issue of social injustice facing teen girls. This may include, but is not limited to, pro bono photo sessions for teen girls in economically depressed neighborhoods; teaching photography and/or video workshops on behalf of Teen Identity; acting as a photography/video coach for teen girls in my local neighborhood.

2010 Mardi Gras Ball

On February 13th, 2010 The Frederick Woman’s Civic Club’s 49th Annual Mardi Gras was held at the Holiday Inn FSK. The Royal Court Presentation was at 7:30 p.m followed by the Ball. The theme this year was Reflections on Mardi Gras. It featured a silent auction, optional Cajun theme buffet and a display of Mardi Gras memorabilia.

Profits from this year’s Mardi Gras will go to Daybreak Adult Day Services, Historic Steiner House and Scholarships
